MAC Cosmetics Nutcracker Sweet Holiday Collection 2016

Long overdue post – I’ve been having some issues recently which I shall be sharing on Snapchat, so make sure you’re following there, but hey, this post is about the gorgeous collection available for Christmas at MAC, and also their new highlighters and strobing creams.

So as the title gives, the new MAC Christmas collection is cutely named The Nutcracker  Collection, which in my opinion is so apt for the Christmas Season.  But apart from the cute name, you just have to check out this collection for yourselves.  Now I’m obsessed with anything MAC but the packaging is just adorable, and just so festive.  The makeup selection is also really nice and vast, actually as vast as a collection can get, comprising of – wait for it, let me catch my breath – 2 highlighters, 5 lipsticks, two glitter pigments, 3 kohl liners and seven amazing eyeshadows.  In addition to these, MAC has graced us with eye shadow palettes and face palettes, two sets of mini lipsticks, lip glosses, 2 patent polish lip kits, metallic pigment kits and a brush kit.

Oh MY GOD right?!  And just wait until you see how pretty these are displayed, unless of course, you have seen them already, which is most probable!

Apart from this amazing collection, MAC has also added some pretty amazing highlighters and strobing creams to their collection – 4 powder highlights and 4 strobing creams to be exact.  Check out the pictures below to get a general idea of what they look like, and let me just stress, the powder highlights are divine.  I was also giving a strobing cream to try out which I am loving too and will shortly review over here.

Gorgeous, right?!

So yeah, drop down to MAC if you haven’t already – Christmas presents to self will definitely be sorted.  I’m just soooo thrilled we have MAC here, i still haven’t gotten over it a year after!!

That’s it for today lovelies, thank you very much for stopping by.

Much love,

Davi xoxo

Lierac Gommage Douceur | Review

More skincare on the blog today, and here is one of my 2 go to scrubs.  My day to day scrub is the St Ives Apricot Facial Scrub which I reviewed ages ago, and if you’re interested, you can read all about that in the post here.  But this scrub ladies and gents, well, this scrub is something else.

I was given this product at a Lierac Event, and began using it instantly.  I actually reach for this twice a week, when I do my mini facial kind of routine and have my masks all laid out before me, wondering which to go for on that particular day.  It is a lovely scrub – it has the right amount of scrub particles to totally exfoliate your skin in a very gentle manner.  My face is extremely smooth after I’ve used this, and it feels so silky.  You can actually notice that your face is hydrated, and that this product has left all it’s good ingredients lingering, or rather, soaked into your skin.

I have also noticed that since using this product, I have less blocked pores, which is of course amazing.  And it does actually deep clean your face, which for me is essential, after I’m basically covered in a powder film of gel or acrylic at the end of each day.  I find that this really cleanses my skin and leaves it all glowing and squeaky clean.

The tube contains 50ml which is a good amount as a little goes a long way. The amount shown on my hand in the picture above is the amount I use to scrub my face with.  Using twice a week, I see the product lasting for a couple of months, and costing around the €16 mark more or less, this is great value for money, considering that Lierac is a prestigious brand.

Well lovelies, I hope you enjoyed this post and like always found it helpful.

Thank you for reading,

Much Love,

Davi xoxo

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water | Review

If you guys have noticed, I am slowly reviewing the products of my skincare routine because there is basically a skincare routine video in the pipeline (<- do you even say that?!)  So I thought it would be nice that every product is reviewed on the blog for your info when the video is finally up!

On another note, lets talk about this Micellar water.  Now Micellar water in general is really my thing.  I find it soooooo convenient to remove my makeup before my evening scrub, and also so convenient again in the morning to cleanse my face before moisturising and applying my makeup.

This Garnier Micellar water is the bomb.  Firstly, the generous amount of product in the  bottle – 200 uses to be exact, is fantastic for it’s price.  I mean I bought this around the €6 mark.  It cleans your face brilliantly, leaving it soft and clean, and is also extremely refreshing.  This also takes of my false lashes gently, I like soaking two cotton pads, pop them on my eyes, and let the makeup and glue melt away.  It’s also great for sensitive skin, and I never experienced stinging around the eye area as I sometimes do with other products and makeup wipes.  I also find that it cleanses your makeup much, much better than a makeup wipe, even though if I’m feeling extremely lazy, Ill still pull out a makeup wipe!

This product is Hypoallergenic and dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested, and is also paraben free. Like I previously mentioned, it can be used around the eye area, as it is gentle enough, and also on your lips, although if you’re wearing some devilish liquid lipstick, I promise, you’ll still need your oil to remove that!

But seriously, I just love this product – it does a great job at removing makeup and dirt off of my skin.  Definitely a holy grail product, and if you haven’t tried it, I strongly urge you to.

You can find this product at most pharmacies and supermarkets around the islands – bonus right?!

I hope you all found this post helpful, and if you haven’t tried this yet, I suggest you give it a whirl.

Much love,

Davi xoxo

Flormar Invisible Loose Powder | Review

You need a good translucent powder for setting your makeup?  Or one for baking?  Look no further, this little baby here has got you sorted!  I instantly loved this Flormar powder, because for one, it’s finely milled, secondly, it does not leave a white overcast over your skin, and lastly, it does not tighten your skin or dry it out.

So after giving you a list of what it will not do to you – here is what it will do!!  It is easily blended, melting in  your skin when you brush it on with a fluffy brush or a kabuki brush.  It’s extremely fine like I said, and will set your makeup like there is no tomorrow.  Your concealer will be set for the day and no creasing will be visible.  Great to remove after baking, leaving your concealer brightened!  And shine – there will be none of that, believe me.

The only thing that I didn’t take a like to was the scent, but that said it is not a strong one, and wears off almost instantly.

And there you have it – a short and sweet review, because all in all, there isn’t much to say about this powder – it’s just brilliant.  My go to loose powder if you may! Absolutely love it and highly recommend!

Much love,

Davi xoxo

Essence Autumn Mini Haul | Initial Impressions + Mini Reviews

Hey guysss!  Hope you are doing well! Today I thought I’d speak about some Essence products I picked up last Wednesday – it actually had been quite a while since I picked up some new Essence products, apart from repurchasing my holy grails such as their Waterproof Liquid Ink – so that basically brings us here today.  And here I am sharing my thoughts with you!!

Let’s start off with lipsticks – here are 3 of their 8 new lipsticks – the Mat Mat lipsticks if I am correct.  The shades I picked up, from left to right are 01 Natural Kiss, 02 Perfect Match and 07 Purple Power.  The 02 Perfect Match has been my go to lipstick ever since I got it, it has a lovely neutral shade, a my lips but better kind of shade, and although it looks much rather like a stain on my lips unlike the other 2, it is a lovely lipstick.  The 01 is a gorgeous peach nude, highly pigmented and although matte, is rather creamy.  And the 07 is a gorgeous, perfect Autumn shade, again highly pigmented.  And hey – these are MATTE.  Definitely give them a try – they only retail at €2.50.  And on another note, can we just look at that packaging??!!

Next up, Essence The False Lashes mascara – truth be told I picked this up because I hadn’t put makeup on and forgot to pop my mascara in my makeup bag, so I needed a mascara.  Because last thing I needed was another mascara, but hey that’s another story.  But this is a rather nice mascara, it separates you lashes very nicely and isn’t a heavy mascara.  I do find that over the day it flakes a bit, so that’s the only downfall to this product.  It comes in two varieties, this one being the Dramatic Volume Unlimited, the other is in Extreme Volume & Curl

I also needed a new powder, and decided to pick this one up.  This is the Camouflage 2 – 1 Powder and Makeup in 40 honey beige, but I just use it as a regular powder as I feel my face too dry if I don’t use a foundation.  But it has a lovely coverage, so basically you can use a BB cream beneath this, and have a full coverage anyway.  I actually quite love this, definitely would repurchase, and I urge you to try it too!

A Kabuki brush.  You see I needed a brush to pop that powder on and took a liking to this.  It’s super soft, dense and overall a pretty nice brush.  So yeah, like this one lots!

Last, The Essence Eye Brow Gel in 01 brown.  Shock, horror, I have never owned an eyebrow pomade kind of thing, and I thought I’d try this out.  I haven’t used it on my brows yet, I have only swatched it and I think it has a nice consistency and good pigmentation.  I shall speak about this more in depth in a makeup tutorial so make sure you’re subbed to my youtube channel – just click here.

I hope you guys enjoyed this little haul!  Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Much love, Davi xoxo
